The Orlando area economy has seen some growth in past years only recently slowing. The slowdown comes out of necessity as the metro area’s economy is already operating at capacity. Even with the slowdown, Orlando’s economy remains among the nation’s top performers, seeing robust growth in many significant components of its economy. Despite the housing market collapsing in Southern Florida, Orlando continues to be a driving force behind Florida’s economic success.
